2.0.4

Neueste

Fixed

  • License section: with an active license whose key is not stored on this server (for example, one installed as a signed license file), 2.0.3 folded the key form away but still hid the license details. They are now shown, with "License key: Not stored on this server (the license itself is active)", "Check now" when the server can check, and "Remove from this server" (Romanian included).

Changed

  • Author: MediaLab Works.

Fixed

  • The first sign-in of a person in a restricted group no longer fails. Nextcloud copies the skeleton files (and the templates folder) into the new account at that moment; a file of a kind the group may not upload (e.g. Venn diagram.whiteboard, Readme.md) was refused, the sign-in ended with an error page and the account was left with only part of its files. Files Nextcloud itself puts into an account during sign-in are now never refused; the rules apply to everything the person uploads afterwards.
  • The Files web interface now shows why an upload was refused ("Error during upload: … is not accepted: it is …, and you may only upload …") instead of only "Operation is blocked by access control".
  • Rules page: a group without its own rule showed "No restriction" ticked while it actually followed "Everyone else". Each row now has a rule — Like "Everyone else" (groups only), No restriction, Only the ticked kinds — and the checkboxes show what applies. A group can now also be explicitly unrestricted while "Everyone else" is restricted (it wins for its members).
  • Rules page on phones and narrow windows: one card per group with labeled checkboxes instead of a table running off the screen. Member counts use proper plural forms.
  • License section: with an active license, the key field and "Activate" are folded away under "Use another license key" instead of looking like the license still had to be activated.
  • The License section no longer reports "App files were changed" when the app is installed from source (the integrity check exists only in release builds).

Fixed

  • When the app was unlicensed or modified, every file download in Nextcloud could fail with an error 500. The check now runs only where uploads are restricted, which happens only with a license; without a license, restrictions are simply not enforced and normal file reads are never affected.
  • Removing or tampering with the license module no longer breaks the rest of Nextcloud. Previously, background jobs (cron) could stop for the whole server and the settings returned an error 500. Now only this app stops, cleanly.
  • The License section now shows an "app files were changed" state when the integrity check fails, instead of still reporting the license as active.
