Registration for Plex — installation and use
A module of MediaLab for Plex: install the plex-core service first, then the module is loaded (signed) and started by the license.
The module ships inside the MediaLab for Plex packages and is loaded only when its ECDSA signature is valid; without a license it stays off. Updates are automatic with the service.
Enable it
- Install MediaLab for Plex (Linux systemd, Windows service or Docker) and sign in with the Plex account that owns the server.
- Enter your medialab.works license key once, on the License page.
- Open Registration in the MediaLab for Plex interface and configure the sign-up page: access codes, approval mode, the libraries to share, and the e-mail / Telegram notifications.
How it works
The visitor opens the sign-up page, signs in with their own Plex account, fills in their details and submits the request. The plex.tv invitation is accepted by itself and the TV connects with the code from plex.tv/link; you approve requests and manage the shared Plex friends from the interface.
